Photographic art to display on your wall Vale of Belvoir

Hello and please allow me to introduce myself: I’m Christian Thompson, a photographer and creator of one-off wall art from the Vale of Belvoir, Leicestershire. I’ve been a photographer of the natural world for about 15 years and I specialize in natural-looking images of my encounters with wildlife and scenery.

Wild animals such as barn owls, foxes, deer and more are often the focus on my camera lens.

A little while ago, I came across an old solid wooden frame with a dating stain and and old-fashioned look. With the help of my wife, I renovated my first frame and decided that one of my favourite photographs - a Vale of Belvoir little owl, nestled in a gap in the bricks of a local, derelict farm building would fit perfectly.

I advertised the piece (shown above) and it sold very quickly. I realized that people like art with a one-off feel. Each frame that I choose to renovate and to use to display work, creates a one-off piece of wall art. By renovating a frame and selecting a perfect photograph from my collection, I create a one-off piece.

I’m looking for suitable frames to renovate and use to display my work all the time and as such, my collection grows. I have found that customers really like them and while the collection grows, it’s ever-changing as the pieces do not stay with me for too long as I am delighted to report that they sell rather quickly.

I send my pieces all over the country as postage is easy and I do deliver to customers local to me - places like Grantham, Melton, Bingham are popular destinations for my art.

Unsurprisingly, given my proximity to the famous Belvoir Castle, the stunning landmark is often a photographic subject of mine.
