The Chequers at Woolsthorpe, within a stones throw of the magnificent Belvoir Castle, is a perfect venue at which to celebrate your countryside wedding day.
Alison took advantage of the on-site accommodation, situated within yards of The Chequers. The converted stables are an attractive and convenient place to stay the night before and get ready on the morning of the wedding, removing the worry and stress of being late for your ceremony!
The civil ceremony took place in the gorgeous garden room, with a string quartet serenade to welcome the bride as David, the groom, waited to have his breath taken away by his beautiful bride.
The weather allowed for a perfect mixture of post ceremony outdoor and indoor celebrations. Drinks in the rustic bar and congratulations all round before a lovely and emotional set of speeches.
The bride, groom and I enjoyed a few moments to capture some portraits. I love this bit of the day and it doesn’t take long. Just 10 minutes here and there and voila - stunning portraits to enjoy and to include as centrepieces in the wedding album. There’s plenty of green space and open countryside to enjoy here, with the garden next to the garden room, providing a pretty and private space for games and a chance for the children to sprint off that enviable energy!
I do love the evening. It’s time for people to ‘let their hair down’ on the dancefloor and it’s those moments that I love to capture… a true atmosphere of celebration!
