Sutton Bonington Hall, Loughborough, Leicestershire : A beautiful exclusive country house wedding venue in the heart of rural England

I had an amazing time photographing Gaelle and Jon’s beautiful summer wedding at the stunning and stylish Sutton Bonington Hall. Sutton Bonington Hall is an absolutely stunning English countryside wedding venue and is a real treat for a wedding photographer. On Gaelle & Jon’s wedding day, the Sun shone, the flowers bloomed and the children and adults alike, enjoyed the garden games in the generous and beautiful garden grounds. A really family-orientated occasion.

Bridal Preparations

My wedding photography day began in the beautiful bridal suite, overlooking the stunning grounds adorned with beautiful flowers of all varieties (you’ll see some of those in the bride & groom portraits, below). It was a very relaxed time for the bride-to-be as husband-to-be Jon took care of the boys allowing some relaxation time for Gaelle. The bridal suite is beautiful, with large windows allowing some stunning light for creative wedding photography.

The Wedding Ceremony and the Wedding Reception

The ceremony took place in the beautiful and historical house, just next to the garden room - the warming summer light poking through. It’s always a beautiful moment when the children insist on taking centre stage - getting involved with the wedding ceremony at the front! Jon simply had no choice but to lift his little one and have him join in with the vows!

I absolutely loved a walk around the grounds with the bride and groom, taking a few moments to relax and take in the fact that they had just tied the knot. I was able to capture some lovely moments between the newly weds in the lovely gardens.

It was a great idea in include garden games for the children and the adults! I was able to capture some lovely, happy moments in the great outdoors.

Striking Wedding Portrait Photography

Even though it was a sunny summer’s day, in England, you’re rarely far away from a huge rainfall downpour! I’m glad there was a touch of rain because it allowed me to produce one of my favourite bride and groom portraits, to date - a stunning umbrella photograph in front of the hall.
