The Out Barn, clough bottom, Clitheroe: A beautiful, rural wedding venue in Lancashire
It doesn’t get any better than a bright, sunny day at the Out Barn at Clough Bottom. It’s a beautiful countryside wedding venue in the East Lancashire countryside. I love photographing weddings here. The venue has such a relaxed atmosphere and it’s view of Longridge fell is seriously hard to beat and amazing for stylish . A perfect wedding venue and a great choice by Danielle and Stuart who are my friends! An amazing privilege to be the wedding photographer for friends.
Bridal Preparations
Our day began in venue owner’s house, which was something a little different. The venue was taking extra care of the usual bridal quarters (after the night before! I expect that you get my drift!) so we had the pleasure of bridal preparations taking place in the owner’s very beautiful house was a very kind gesture. The bridal party was treated to the use of both properties throughout the morning and Danielle, the beautiful bride, was ready for action!
The Wedding Ceremony and Wedding Reception
The garden room at The Out Barn is a beautiful setting in which to enjoy your wedding ceremony. Vows were made with the added loveliness of the bride and groom’s sons standing together at the special moment. A very special wedding speech was made by a very brave young man. Well done mate!
This wedding was extra-special in that I have known the absolute gentleman of a groom for years - since I was a young lad actually. To see Stuart so happy was, as you can imagine, very special for me. It’s a real privilege to photograph a friend’s wedding and my own lovely brother Simon was Stuart’s best man!
With stunning grounds and the chance for some lovely bride and groom photographs within them is a wedding photographer’s dream. As you can see from the bride and groom portraits, I enjoyed myself! The skies produced drama (see photo above!) and I was so pleased to create a portrait that I think is a real signature of my portraiture - a relaxed couple, amongst a seriously cool sky and the incredible August flowers. It’s not all posing though - only a tiny bit of that because most of the bride and groom portraits were taken when on a nice relaxing walk with the Lancashire fells behind us.
The Outliners band treated us to some superb live music and the party really got started…
Like I said, it was a true privilege to photograph this wedding. Here’s to your future, Danielle and Stuart…
