Mel and Andrew’s wedding at the famous Angel & Royal Hotel in Grantham was a wedding with difference. All weddings are different of course, but it’s not every wedding that MOST of the guests arrive on two wheels. Mel & Andrew are keen motorcyclists and friends and family alike were encouraged to arrive on two-wheel style.

The talented bride, Mel had created her own button holes using motorcycle parts, combining them with flower blooms and they were absolutely amazing - beautiful and striking.
Bridal Preparations at The Angel & Royal Hotel
Mel got ready for the nuptials upstairs in one of the lovely suites while all the guests arrived, milled around and talked in anticipation of the wedding day.
The Wedding Ceremony at The Angel & Royal Hotel
The ceremony took place upstairs in the famous Kings Room and it was great fun - hugs kisses, smile and tears - this wedding ceremony had all he emotions. I love capturing these moments - looking beyond the happy couple into the guests to spy on their reactions. It really is a beautiful venue with rustic stonework and antique weaponry on display.
Mel’s favours and table decorations were beautiful and had a very stylish take on the motorcycle theme with classic names for enthusiasts such as Triumph and BSA.
Grantham Wedding Photography
When Mel and Andrew booked in with me to photograph their Grantham wedding, I suggested that we go into the Vale of Belvoir and spend a little time on some portraits with the motorbikes, so we did. A Grantham pre-Wedding Photoshoot with an sunset to remember! These extra portraits sit wonderfully with the wedding day collection.
The Reception
Back to the wedding day… After the wedding breakfast the speeches commenced with no little emotion with Grandma having to take over from Grandson to finish the speech, such was the heartfelt emotion in the room and then onto the dancing, late into the night…
