A Beautiful Summer Wedding at The Bowdon Rooms

Summer Wedding Photography at The Bowdon Rooms

Getting Married at The Bowdon Rooms

Helen & Tom had an awesome time on this gorgeous summer’s day!

This wedding highlights blog post comes form the famous Altringham Wedding Venue, The Bowdon Rooms in Greater Manchester. This famous old building in picturesque Bowden was an absolutely outstanding venue choice by Helen & Tom.

Helen and Tom chose me as their wedding photographer after I photographed the wedding of their friends, Natalie & Simon. It’s always a great way for a couple to find me as a wedding photographer because being recommended by a couple is the best advertisement and tells you that I do something right!

We started the day at a nearby hotel for bridal prep, with lovely moment of present giving, the busy conveyor of hair and make up and guests turning up to wish everyone well for the day of celebration ahead.

After the prep, I met the boys at The Bowdon Rooms and the nearby pub, just a few hundred yards down the road. I love capturing those ‘pre-match’ moments - the hugs, kisses, smiles and laughs. As a bonus, one of the guests was an absolute legend, giving me a huge amount to work with (you’ll spot the gentleman in question!)

The Bride and The Bowdon Rooms

Helen arrived and I managed a grab a quick shot of her in the car before dashing into the building to await her official arrival.

I got to admit, I love these group photographs of the bridesmaids and the groomsmen - there’s so much fun in these photographs and the backdrop of the arched doorways made a lovely symmetry!

Inside The Bowdon Rooms looked incredible, gorgeous warm lighting and stunning table decorations.

The speeches were absolutely brilliant! Singing, laughing and applause - lots of action for me to capture.

Helen and Tom didn’t want man photographs of the two of them, so I managed to grab a few shots as they were taking a moment away from the action. Some couples are really keen on the bride and groom portraits while other couples like Helen and Tom, just wanted me to focus on capturing the action on the day. Candid, documentary wedding photography at The Bowdon Rooms was the order of my day and I loved it. All very relaxed.

Then.. onto the party! My job? Capture it! Get those crazy dance moves and those special first dance moments. You can’t beat live music at a wedding. The stage rocked to live singing and full on brass band with a difference which got the whole party on their feet!
